My father kicked me out when he found out I was pregnant – my son visited him 18 years later

"His name is Tyler. He's in my class. It's not from an easy environment. His family is struggling, but he said he would do his best to be there. »

"Do you want to keep the baby?" he asked.

"Ano."

He leaned back in his chair and slowly exhaled through his nose. "Think about what you're saying. »

"Yes, I'll keep it," I answered. "And I won't change my mind. »

He stared at me, his jaw clenched, as if he could persuade me to question everything. When that didn't work, his expression went, not to anger, but to something worse. That contempt.

"You're seventeen," he said in a low voice. "And you decided to ruin your life on a broken boy who can barely take care of him? »

"I'm not wasting anything," I said calmly but firmly. "I can handle it. I'll do it. »

He pushed back his chair and stood up. He walked to the door. He opened it.

"Do you want to raise a bastard with a broken boy?" he muttered, his eyes fixed on the street behind the porch. "Then go do it yourself. »

That's all. No screaming. No questions asked. Just a sentence that ended everything.

I was seventeen. And suddenly I found myself homeless.

My father – a well-known businessman who owned a chain of successful garages – never paid any attention to me.

Not a call. Not a penny. I don't think he ever looked for me.

I made my bed for him. And let me go to sleep there, no matter how cold or broken it is.

My child's father also did not last long. Two weeks after he left my father's house, he stopped answering my calls. He made promises, told me that he would support me, that he would do the right thing. But the promises do not apply to the layers. Or rent. Or hospital bills.

I was proud of him, not only for his work, but also for his behavior. For his discipline, heart and vision. I knew that whatever dream he had in mind, he would do his best and that he would realize it.
