Instructions:
Grate two potatoes finely to get a smooth batter. Grate the remaining two coarsely for a better consistency. Squeeze out excess liquid from the grated potatoes well through a sieve or a clean cloth.
Mix the potatoes, the finely chopped onion, flour, egg, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix everything thoroughly until you have a compact mass.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Scrape out some of the dough and shape it into patties. Fry on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
Let the finished ducats drain on a piece of kitchen paper. Serve while they are still warm – they taste great with crème fraiche, natural yoghurt or your favourite sauce. Enjoy your meal! 😋
